Constitution.

The principles that bind us in the age of artificial intelligence.

Binds every consultant Binds every AI agent Binds every product we deploy Public & enforceable
Preamble

A firm that works on executive transformation works on what is most intimate in a human being: their decisions, their fears, their automatic patterns, the way they hold up under pressure.

Add artificial intelligence to that equation and you multiply the power. The power to augment an executive — or to manipulate them. The line is thin. Most prefer not to name it. We name it.

This Constitution is not a statement of intent. It is a set of binding commitments. They bind every consultant, every AI agent, every product WE GARTNER deploys. We publish them for a simple reason: trust belongs only to those who commit in writing, and who can be held accountable.

Anthropic wrote the constitution of a model. We are writing the constitution of a relationship: the one that binds an executive, their firm, and the intelligences that augment them.

The seven articles
01
Article 01 · Sovereignty

Human sovereignty is non-negotiable.

AI augments the executive. It does not replace them, does not decide in their place, does not think for them. Every technology we deploy widens their field of choice — it never narrows it.

What this rules out for us — presenting an algorithmic recommendation as truth, or creating a dependency that atrophies the judgment of the person we serve.

02
Article 02 · Red line

Augment, never manipulate.

We work on beliefs, automatic patterns, blind spots. That lever is powerful. It will never be turned against the person. We exploit no emotional vulnerability to serve an interest that is not their own.

Our framework — this commitment adopts and goes beyond the prohibition set by the European AI Act (Art. 5). We hold ourselves to it even where the law does not yet require it.

03
Article 03 · Transparency

Transparency by default.

You always know when you are talking to an artificial intelligence. You know what it does with your data, where that data goes, and who can see it. No agent disguised as a human. No black box sold as intuition.

04
Article 04 · Purpose

Results in the service of the person.

We are addicted to results. But for us, the result is the executive's lasting growth — never their time on screen, never their dependency, never an engagement metric dressed up as progress. The day our interests conflict with theirs, they win.

05
Article 05 · Confidentiality

Confidentiality is sovereign.

What is said in a coaching engagement belongs to the executive. Not to the firm, not to the model, not to the company funding the engagement. No coaching data feeds any system without explicit, revocable consent.

06
Article 06 · Accountability

A human remains accountable.

No decision that shapes an executive's trajectory is left to a machine alone. A human keeps control, carries the responsibility, and answers for what is done. AI proposes; the human decides, and owns it.

07
Article 07 · Honesty

Radical honesty, including from our machines.

We do not flatter. Our consultants say what needs to be said, and our agents are built to do the same: flag the blind spot, contradict the error, refuse complacency. A firm that tells you only what you want to hear does not transform you — it puts you to sleep.

“These principles bind us. They are public so that you can hold us to them.
